I tried a BIG new thing!
July found me in beautiful East Peoria, IL – really, it was lovely, especially at the hotel hosting the Writers on the River book signing and fundraising event.
It was a blast meeting not only some of the nicest readers on the planet (one young lady gave me a beautiful handmade coaster and I’ll never know why – or who she is, I suspect), but also some amazing authors, many of whom were new to me.
And it was just sensory overload in all the good ways – so many beautiful things to see, beautiful booths, beautiful books, and a beautiful location with the water and breeze just outside.
I had a blast!
