Anthony’s book has LANDED

Whew, I think I underestimated how much people wanted Anthony’s story! I’m thrilled with its popularity so far, and some loyal readers are giving me feedback that it “doesn’t disappoint” even after the long wait, so I am doubly thrilled at that!

Some folks were surprised that the Lords and Undefeated Ladies series would go on. Trust me, after Anthony’s apocalyptic ending and these four books, I can well imagine that you’d think there was nowhere else to go! But no, we’ll have a book 5 out… probably next year (we’ll see what I can do!).

But I’m calling future books “A Lord and Undefeated Ladies Novel” rather than a numbered book because they really don’t have to be read in order, and I don’t want people to feel like they do. Lots of readers right now are reading Not Like a Lady first and then going straight to Anthony’s story in Crown of Hearts (lucky them, as it’s out). Some of them, I imagine, are then circling back for What a Duchess Does because the Duke and Duchess appear in Crown of Hearts. Trust me, my feelings won’t be hurt if they miss out on the (hot!) love story of Cass and Oliver, because when my new series starts with The Caped Countess in July, they’re going to want to come on back for that one, as both Cass and Oliver appear in that book.

In other words, it can really all be read in any order… but I do have little surprises planted through the first four that make me want to encourage people to read them in order. If they want. If they don’t, as the cook says, it doesn’t affect me. It’s fine.

Book 5 will be coming back to the Faircombe estate to find out what’s happening with those appalling neighbors of Michael and Letty’s. Well, largely appalling except for hulking Geoffrey, with a heart like a squishy teddy bear. He’s the hero of He Stole the Lady, and I think you’re going to like his love story. As it turns out, Charlotte has a love story too, and might not turn out to be as appalling as you think.

But that’s the way we like it around here. There are some truly terrible people in the world – but most people just need true love, and/or hugs.

I’m looking forward to hearing more from all of you about how you feel about Anthony’s love story in Crown of Hearts! It is, obviously, very dear to my heart, and I hope you too enjoy it.
